QualityManagementDocumentNo.CHEC-NSH-MS-009RevMethodStatementforRetainingWallWorksCHEC4)Concreteplacementshallbeconductedcontinuously.Whenitstopsduetocertainreasons,theintervalshallbelessthansellingtimeorreshapingtimeofpreviouslayerconcrete.Whendumpingconcretefromhigherlocation,thefollowingrequirementsshallbesatisfiedinordertopreventconcreteseparation:theheightshallbecontrolledwithin2m;iftheheightisover2m,aconduitorchuteshallbeputintouse.Duringconcretecast,concreteshallbevibratedfromtimetotimetomakeituniformlydense,andvibrationisrecommendedtobecarriedoutverticallybyimmersionvibrator.Fastinsertionandslowwithdrawshallexecuteduringvibration.Seamlessvibrationandnon-defectsontheconcretesurfacearerecommended.Therubbleplacedintoconcreteintherubbleconcreteretainingwallshallsatisfythefollowingrequirements:(1)Rubbleintensitylevelshallnotbelessthan30Mpa.(2)Maximumsizeforrubblestoneshallnotbemorethan1/4ofitsdepthofthelayer,andtheminimumsizeoftherubblestoneshallnotbelessthan15cm.(3)Rubbleshallbewashedcleanbeforeplacing.(4)Rubbleshallbeplacedevenlyandsecurely,netdistancebetweenrubbleshallnotbelessthan15cm,notlessthan25cmbetweenrubbleandformwork.(5)Thetopsurfaceofuppermostrubbleshallbecoveredbyconcretelayer,withthicknessnotlessthan25cm.(6)Rubbleshallbeplacedmanually,andspecialattentionmustbepaidtorubblesoasnottodamageformworkandPVCpipe.(7)Thevolumeofrubbleshallnotexceed25%ofthetotalvolumeofrubbleconcrete.Page14of19
